WJM Engineering served as the design professional of record for the interior renovation of the 2,362 SF orthodontics office. The project team overcame design challenges related to the COVID-19 pandemic. Patient flow paths, design for physical distancing, and ventilation design were altered to conform to the latest regulations and code requirements. The design team was able to adapt and still complete the project within schedule and under budget.
The plan includes a streamlined patient flow path through the facility, with an open concept ortho bay with three chairs with rough-in utilities and space for two additional chairs. WJM Engineering, Inc. designed the fit-out to include the most advanced orthodontic equipment including 3D printers, X-Ray machines, Sterilization and more. The design included an ADA accessible floor plan and bathroom.
